So I have been on a quest for a Christmas tree for this year, I've always wanted a perfectly (and when I say perfect I mean matchy matchy) christmas tree. Everything decorated in the same color scheme, including garland, ornaments, ribbon, and star topper. Thankfully, Chris lets me decorate however I want so I didn't get any complaints from him and I got to choose the color scheme, ornaments, etc. I am also planning next week on buying our new matching family stockings... I am going to go on this trip alone so i can get the adorable leopard ones that I know he will fight with me about at the store. Anyway, for this year we got a smallish 6 1/2 foot tree (its barely as tall as Chris but then so are our ceilings) with beautiful chocolate and gold ornaments to match our living room decor. As we started putting up the Christmas tree I got so excited for Keira's first Christmas, it just brought me back to my childhood and how much I loved decorating the tree. From about ages two to seven I would wrap myself up in the gold garland my mom used for our tree, throw on a pair of my mom's high heels, boots or shoes I loved them both, and pretend I was dressing up for a fancy dance or party. (I have been a glam girl from the beginning) and I just can't wait until my lil diva can have fun like this. I dressed Keira up in the garland just for pictures sake eventhough she can't pretend just yet! Next year though hopefully she will get more enthused about the Christmas decorating... this year she cried through most of it, and then acted scared of the tree when me and Chris posed for pics in front of it, but me and Chris still had fun. More xmas decorating to come i am sure... and pictures!
xoxo
