Patience is so not my thing...

I am learning that patience is a serious virtue that I really need to gain!! Like IMMEDIATELY. Gone are my days of 'running to the store real quick' or running up to the mall to find a quick outfit for work (or back before Keira) for the night out, or running over to a friends house to visit for a little bit. This was rudely brought to my attention when I went to go visit my friend Katie a few days ago... I just loaded Keira up in her carseat, and I wasn't planning on staying longer than an hour, and drove over to Katie's. Well of course when you are only planning to stay an hour, time flies super fast and then you want to stay and hang out, but of course, silly me I left the diaper bag at home (b/c i was just running out for a few)... anyway I get to Katie's and I am there maybe 15 min (mind you I had just changed Keira's diaper and fed her before we left) and she immediately goes to the bathroom... this is my luck. Yet when I lug the diaper bag into quick Wal-Mart or Target runs, even 2 hour expeditions (yes 2 hours is an expedition with a 2 month old) I NEVER NEED IT!!! I am talking NOT ONCE does the princess need her diaper changed, need a pacifier, a bib, a burp cloth NOTHING!!! But the minute I decide to leave it at home for convenience... it is desperately needed. From now on I must remember NO MATTER WHAT ALWAYS pack the diaper bag, the extra 3 bottles (you never know I could get stuck somewhere for that long) and lots of extra clothes... even if it does require me to slow down and hopefully i am granted some Patience in the near future!!
